Community Roots Garden operates under the church as a non-profit and is always in need of donations in time, resources, and money. Thank you for your interest in supporting our garden!

Community Roots Garden is largely a volunteer-run project. Our primary support is in the form of volunteer hours. We occasionally receive grant funding, but most of our needs for funding and materials are being met through the generosity of people like you.

Donations to Community Roots Garden, a non-profit ministry of the North Oxnard United Methodist Church, are tax-deductible. Donated funds are used for equipment, supplies and water, donating seedlings to other community gardens, developing gardening educational materials; and offering classes to the community regardless of ability to pay. Donations of any size are gratefully accepted.

Skilled Labor:

Grant writer or someone to support with fund development
Regular garden mowing
Anyone of any skill level is always welcome to attend volunteer hours on Wednesday or Saturday.

Tools & Equipment:

Any lightly used tools, equipment, and gloves.
Nursery materials
Gift cards to our favorite suppliers & garden centers

Financial Contributions:

Donations via check payment are much appreciated. Please drop them at our office or during volunteer hours. Our fiscal sponsor is the North Oxnard United Methodist Church. Checks may be made out to "Community Roots Garden."
